This is my website. I'm Anastasia, a senior studying Economics and Politics at Carnegie Mellon University, with a minor in Mathematical Sciences. I graduate in May 2027! This fall, I'm studying economics abroad at University College London, and this spring I'll be joining the Council on Foreign Relations as an intern in Russia Studies. My research interests sit at the intersection of political economy and security, with a regional focus on Russia and the former Soviet space — particularly how economic incentives shape authoritarian influence and defense strategy. Just as close to my heart is teaching and open inquiry on campus: I teach microeconomics recitation at CMU and co-lead a student org hosting structured dialogues on topics people, unfortunately, often feel scared or unable to talk about openly.
